PRESS RELEASE - CHESSIE FUND

HELP for Pets is excited to announce changes in The Chessie Fund which has recently been renamed The Chessie Spay and Neuter Fund. Loan amounts have been increased to allow for an increased number of “on time” spays and castrations here in Clinton County.  An outline of the changes follows:

• Only residents of Clinton County will be served.
• Only one client-owned pet may be in the program during a five month repayment cycle. 
• We will now loan: $150.00 for canine spays

 $140.00 for canine castrations
 $130.00 for feline spays
 $55.00 for feline castrations

• A five month repayment schedule will be required of loan recipients.
• The client will be responsible for the remainder of the veterinarian’s neutering fee at the time of service.

A simple application will be completed at or before the neutering appointment at a participating veterinarian’s office. The veterinarian will receive payment directly.
